  • Overview

    Designs, develops and implements all elements of training for designated applications. Develops training policies and requirements for the designated applications and develops detailed, workflow based curriculum for designated applications.


    • Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations and policies, procedures and standards
    • Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements to achieve clinical, satisfaction and/or efficiency outcomes
    • Assists manager/director with training strategy for designated application(s)
    • Attends status meetings held by the training team and their designated application team(s)
    • May also attend change control meetings and other meetings as needed
      Completes training tasks outlined in the training project plan and established by the Training Manager
    • Develops appropriate proficiency measures for training
    • Determines the appropriate level of training (time, delivery method) for each user group and conducts training
    • Works closely with Application Analysts to develop detailed, workflow-based curriculum. Builds, tests and maintains the training environment
    • Develops training policies and requirements
    • Reviews training curriculum with appropriate members of the application team and ensures deliverables are approved by the application team and are completed in accordance with the training strategy
    • Plans, designs, develops and implements all elements of training for designated application(s)
    • Trains and supports a team of supplemental (credentialed) trainers. Delivers instructor-led and Web-X training for super user and end user audiences
    • Maintains training curriculum, training environment, and delivers ongoing education post go-live


    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or closely related field required or equivalent education and experience
    • 1 to 3 years experience required in developing curriculum in a technical or educational environment
    • Experience with adult education, instructional design and curriculum delivery
    • Healthcare experience in a clinical, administrative or financial department
    • Experience following instructions, developing creative solutions to complex problems, documenting procedures, and completing assignments accurately within a set time frame
    • Experience in managing multiple priorities, presenting in front of large groups of professionals
    • Experience in working with technology preferred
    • Knowledge of and the ability to use PC-based word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software to create teaching/learning materials and documentation
    • Computer Skills Advanced: Skilled in specialized computer software. Ability to use more advanced functions, formulas and other special elements of the specific program or application
    • Coordination: Integration of activities, structures, and responsibilities so that resources are used most effectively to meet objectives
    • Creative Innovative: Applies creative problem solving to develop new insights into situations; develops fresh ideas that provide solutions to all types of workplace challenges

    • Prepares and provides structured delivery; commands attention and can manage group process during the presentation
    • Training/Development: Ability to design, develop and/or deliver training programs
    • Written Communication: Ability to organize and express information and ideas in written form to individuals as well as groups
    • Construct messages that are clear and convincing
